Shepal, who has done his AYURVEDACHARYA (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery - BAMS), MD-AYURVED KAYA CHIKITSA from University of Pune, FIIM and AYURVEDA PARANGAT (Master of Ayurveda) from European Ayurveda Academy, Cambridge, UK, MD (Alternative Medicine) from Colombo, Sri Lanka, POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN VALUE EDUCATION AND SPIRITUALITY from Annamalai University, is a leading Ayurvedic Physician practicing in Pune, India. He has been doing research on application of Tridosh principles of ayurveda in treating coronary artery disease since 1993. From 2002 , he has treated more than 6000 patients successfully who were having blockage ranging from single blockage to multiple blockages and from 5% to 95%. The average time taken to clear the blockage is 4 to 6 months. |

| The Government of India has approved and granted the Patent No. 221770 to Dr.Shirish Shepal for his invention of ayurvedic composition for oral consumption in treatment of heart diseases and hypertension vide Certificate No. 022/5769 dated 3rd July 2008. Dr.Shepal has invented this composition mainly to help economically weaker section who could not afford expensive invasive treatment for heart ailments |

| In the year 2009, Dr.Shepal has been awarded with Ramrajya Puraskar for his contribution towards medical research and medical social work. He is attending Shankar Maharaj Mutt twice a week to provide free medical consultation to economically weaker section. Dr.Shepal is also a regular contributor in Marathi newspaper on health topics and medical ethics. |
